Departmental Profile:
The department of Philosophy was established in
1995. Since inception, the department has been working
tirelessly to disseminate and advance knowledge by developing and
pursuing appropriate course modules and research programme and by
ensuring quality teaching and research supervision. The department
has been also trying to promote interdisciplinary studies and
research in the university. The current thrust area of the
department is on Philosophical Anthropology. The other area
covered by the going academic endeavors in the department are
Applied Ethics, Gender Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Aesthetics
and Classical and
contemporary issued related to human conditions and welfare.
