Departmental Profile: The department of Political Science, under the school of Social Sciences, started functioning in 1995. The objective of the curriculum designed  in the department is to train P.G. students thoroughly in all branches of the discipline, Focusing on classical themes and recent development. The course content is wide ranging. The curriculum covers theoretical conceptual and empirical aspects of the discipline. This provides the students with necessary conceptual awareness to undertake further specialized studies and research activities.

i] M.A.  (by course work).   Duration : Two Years (Four Semesters).  No. of seats :  77 

ii] M.Phil ( by course work and dissertation).  Duration : Three Semesters.  No. of seats:  15

iii] Ph.D. (by research work)

iv] Integrated pre- Ph.D. Course work        Duration:  One Semester.
