A School on Gravitation and Cosmology will be held at the Department of Physics, Assam University, Silchar during January 17-26, 2011.
The School is open to final year Master's students and first year PhD students of Institutions of North-Eastern states of India, subject to a maximum of 3 students from each institute.
The aim of the School will be to introduce students to the field of Cosmology.

Interested students should send us an application (preferably by email) stating their name, affiliation, postal and e-mail addresses and a brief CV, before October 20, 2011.
They should also arrange for a letter of recommendation to be sent to us ( From the supervisor in case of PhD students and HOD for MSc students) before the deadline.
Boarding and lodging will be arranged for selected students. We will also be able to provide second class train/bus fare (on production of ticket) to all outstation participants.
The selected students will be informed by mid December , 2011.
A registration fee of Rs 300/- per participant will be charged per outstation participant whereas for local participants the fee is Rs 100/- per person.
